Alrommisa Yaqoub is a young academic and leadership figure in Yemen. She holds a PhD
in International Humanitarian Law and is an expert in diplomatic and consular affairs.
She currently serves as the Director General of the Human Rights Department at the
Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, in addition to her roles as President of the
National Network for Advocating the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and President
of the Room Foundation for Earth Reconstruction. This unique combination has enabled
her to play a pivotal role in shaping public policy and promoting inclusive rights, with a
strategic focus on integrating gender, youth, and underrepresented groups into
national processes.
Dr. Alrommisa is widely recognized as a key figure in peace diplomacy and
humanitarian mediation. She has represented the issues of women, youth, and
persons with disabilities before UN and international missions. She is particularly
noted for her role in negotiating to enhance safe humanitarian corridors and
secure humanitarian access during the Aden conflict in 2015. In recognition of
her efforts, she has received several high-level honors, most notably the
“Humanity Shield” awarded by the Prime Minister, affirming her position as an
influential voice linking human rights protection with sustainable peacebuilding
strategies.

Akram currently serves as the Deputy Head of the International and Cultural Department of the Islah in Aden. He is also a member of the local leadership of the Southern National Alliance in Aden, and serves as a council member of the Popular Resistance in Khormaksar. Previously, he held the position of President of the General National Youth Conference in Abyan Province.

Akram has received extensive training in effective youth leadership and human rights, as well as public relations. He is an active member of the Yemeni Reform Association and participated in the National Youth Conference held nationwide during the National Dialogue Conference. Following the formation of the Southern National Coalition and the establishment of its local leadership in Aden, he was selected as a member of the local leadership of the Southern National Coalition.

Anes currently serves as the Head of the Political Authority of the Southern Transitional Council. He has advanced through various administrative and political positions, including being a member of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the Rapporteur of the Reconciliation and Transitional Justice Committee within the commission. Additionally, he holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Authority in the STC and is a member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit. Anis is also a member of the Feminist Peace Support Coalition in Yemen and has participated in numerous meetings with international delegations and diplomatic missions. Previously, he worked as the General Director of Research and Administrative Development in Lahij Governorate.

Anes was part of the STC's delegation in the political axis discussions during the Riyadh Consultations and has extensively participated as a member and rapporteur in various consultations and negotiations, including the Riyadh Agreement team from 2019 to 2022.

Anes holds a Master's degree in Administrative Sciences and is an active and influential figure in community circles. He has authored numerous research papers and studies in political, social, and economic sciences and is a columnist and political analyst. He possesses extensive experience in developing plans, conducting studies, and strategic planning.

Ayoub is the President of the Insijam Foundation for Development, an organization dedicated to enhancing the skills of youth and the local community to support sustainable development and peacebuilding. He also serves as the Secretary-General of the Al-Jalaa Sports, Social, and Cultural Club.

Additionally, Ayoub is a member of the Youth Leadership Network of the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Ayoub works as a consultant on projects and research related to youth, peacebuilding, and local governance. He has participated in numerous workshops and training courses on state-building, international economics, conflict resolution, humanitarian peace, advocacy, and more.

Rasha is a former commander of the Women's Police in Brigade 35, Director of
the Monitoring and Documentation Unit at the National Mine Action
Organization, and former correspondent for Al-Hadath Channel. She worked as
a former field researcher for UNICEF's Emergency Cash Transfer project. Rasha
has extensive experience as a political activist and journalist. She worked as a
correspondent for Al-Sahat Channel in 2015 and served as Director of the
Monitoring and Documentation Unit at the National Mine Action Organization
from 2016 to 2017. She also participated as a member of the Youth Accord for
Peace and Security in Yemen and was a member of the Yemen Red Crescent.
She is a graduate of the Peacebuilders program in mediation and negotiation
supported by the UN Women. She received advanced training on mediation and
negotiation processes from the International Foundation for Electoral Systems
in Tunisia. Rasha contributed to the preparation of the SEDAW report for Yemen
in 2020 and worked on combating prostitution and human trafficking. Rasha has
received numerous trainings on women's protection from violence under the
Women, Peace, and Security Agenda 2030

Saleh is a distinguished young leader with extensive experience in youth work
and political leadership. He currently serves as Head of the Youth and Women
Department at the Hadramout National Council, where he plans and
implements numerous activities and initiatives that strengthen the role of
youth and amplify their voices to become active members of society. He
previously served as Head of the Year of Youth Committee in Wadi and Desert
Hadramout in 2022 and led the first Youth Conference in Hadramout in March
of the same year, reflecting his dedication and commitment to administration
and sustainable development.
Saleh also served as Vice President of the Model Arab League Conference in
2022, organized by Adalah Foundation. Previously, he was President of the
General Student Union at Seiyun University—the first student union at the
university—and a member of the Arab Youth Union in Egypt. He has received
the Seiyun University Shield and the Youth Creativity and Excellence Award in
Hadramout, highlighting his outstanding contributions to youth engagement
and social leadership

Oday is a military academic and political researcher, currently serving as a brigade commander and a member of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance. He is also an advisor to the Presidential Leadership Council and a member of the Supreme Military Security Committee. Oday has participated in numerous international conferences and local mediations, including the Hodeidah redeployment under the supervision of the UN envoy as a member of the participating committees. He holds a Master's degree in Military Sciences from the Command and Staff College in Khartoum, along with a fellowship from the Higher Military Academy at the War College in Khartoum.

Ali is a Yemeni journalist and researcher. He obtained his bachelor's degree from
the University of Amran and served as a teaching assistant at the same university
from 2014 to 2016. He also worked as a consultant at the Humanitarian Dialogue
Centre in Geneva, providing consultations on dialogue and peace issues. His
research papers have been published by the Sana'a Centre for Strategic Studies,
focusing on understanding local contexts and dynamics.
Additionally, Ali covered the Yemen war for foreign platforms such as Al Jazeera
English. He also served as a coordinator for foreign journalists and researchers
visiting Yemen, particularly Marib, assisting in producing reports for media
outlets such as the BBC and The Wall Street Journal. Ali has also worked as a
translator at the office of Sheikh Sultan Al-Arada, a member of the Presidential
Leadership Council and Governor of Marib. He is actively engaged on social
media platforms, notably on X, providing coverage and commentary on current
events in Yemen in English

The current head of the Youth and Women’s Department, Imad, is a diplomat with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, currently serving as Deputy Ambassador in Washington. He previously served as an advisor to the Prime Minister in the Prime Minister's Office. From 2019 to 2023, he held the position of Special Secretary to the former Prime Minister. During his tenure at the Prime Minister's Office, he participated directly and indirectly in various dialogues, consultations, and political negotiations, including the formation of the Riyadh Agreement government in 2020.

In addition to his political roles, Imad has taken on several technical responsibilities. He served as the National Coordinator for the government’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, overseeing the evacuation of Yemeni citizens from Sudan and those stranded during the pandemic.

Awad is a respected figure in Yemeni politics, recognized for his role as a nominated member of the Permanent Main Committee of the General People's Congress in 2018. His involvement in representing the party at various events and meetings underscores his commitment to political engagement and leadership within Yemen's complex landscape. Beyond his formal political duties, Awad plays a crucial role as a mediator in local tribal mediation processes and conflict resolution efforts, leveraging his deep understanding of Yemeni societal dynamics and his ability to foster dialogue and consensus among diverse groups.

Educationally, Awad holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom, which has equipped him with a solid foundation in management and strategic thinking. His academic background complements his practical experience in navigating political challenges and advocating for constructive solutions.

Moreover, Awad demonstrates exceptional communication skills and influence, particularly evident in his interactions with youth, local organizations, and international stakeholders. He actively engages in discussions to address Yemen's pressing issues, emphasizing the importance of sustainable peace and development. His proactive approach and diplomatic acumen make him a valuable asset in fostering understanding and cooperation both locally and internationally, contributing to efforts aimed at stability and progress in Yemen.

Qamar is the Director of the Women's Development Department and the Personnel Officer at the Seiyun District Local Council. She is also the Director of the Projects Department of the Yemeni Women's Union in the Valley and Desert Region, and the Director of Public Relations at the Union of Civil Society Organizations.

Qamar was previously the coordinator of a program in Wadi Hadramawt on gender-based violence. Qamar proposed the establishment of a security office for women in local authority centers to receive these issues safely, with the aim of enabling women to defend their rights, advance progress in society and keep pace with international standards. This initiative has been instrumental in ensuring that complaints can be filed safely, and also deals with problems such as the inability to file complaints in the women's section of the local police.

Wadha Rabie from Sarwah district in Ma'rib governorate is a consultant with the Youth Team for Mediation Support, working on resolving community disputes in the governorate for the past 8 years. She is also a member of the Community Cohesion Committee in Ma'rib.

Wadha possesses extensive experience in various fields including English language teaching, rapid assessment in emergencies, life skills training and behavior change, case management and service delivery, and comprehensive awareness initiatives. Additionally, she has expertise in public relations, improving relations between civil society and military institutions, dialogue facilitation, report writing, individual interviews, field research and needs assessment, peacebuilding and conflict resolution, as well as income-generating projects for war and disaster-affected individuals. Furthermore, she has over five years of experience in gender mainstreaming, having worked as a case manager, social specialist, and training supervisor. She also has experience in monitoring and documenting human rights issues, mediation, and community peacebuilding. Wadha has received numerous certificates of appreciation in various fields.

Ghadeer Taira is a journalist and independent producer, a feminist activist, and
a young advocate from Al Hudaydah, Yemen, known for her particular focus on
the Tihama cause. She has extensive experience working with civil society
organizations and is currently engaged in consultancy work. She was a fellow in
the “Women’s Voices at the Decision-Making Table” (SAWT) Fellowship Program
(2023) at the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American
University of Beirut (AUB), and also participated in the “Aflamuna” Fellowship
(2022–2023) for professional impact storytellers.
Ghadeer holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations, Advertising, and Media.
She is a co-founder of the Women Impact platform, which focuses on
empowering women in Yemen and the region, and a co-founder of the Arab
Youth Green Voices Network. She is known for her strong advocacy for youth
participation and climate action, and has represented Yemen at major
international conferences, including the UN Climate Change Conferences COP28
and COP27, as well as the Conference of Youth (COY18). She is an active member
of the Feminist Solidarity Network and the project to strengthen the feminist
movement in Yemen.
She also works as a local producer with Storytailors.tv, a London-based global
video production agency. Through her media and documentary work, she is
dedicated to telling impactful stories of women and highlighting Yemen’s nature
and its connection to cultural history. She is a strong advocate for youth and
women’s participation and climate action.

An independent journalist with a bachelor’s degree in media, a preparatory
master’s student in Political Science, and a diploma in Economic Journalism and
Corporate Governance.
Al-Himyari has extensive journalistic experience dating back to 2007. He serves
as the Editor-in-Chief of the Yemeni Journalism Network (Yazan) and the
Editorial Board of "Journalists for Peace" in Yemen. He is also a former

Managing Editor at "Belqees" TV, "Al-Istithmar" magazine, and "Al-Yemen Al-
Youm" newspaper.

He has worked as a correspondent from Yemen for various Arab and
international media outlets and has gained extensive experience in human
rights through his work with non-governmental organizations and institutions.
Currently, Al-Himyari serves as the Executive Director of the Yemeni Landmine
Observatory, a non-governmental organization that documents victims of
landmines and explosive remnants of war in Yemen.
